Slick Rock Road is a diverse off-road trail. Starting as an easy gravel road, passing through the scenic area of the Utica Reservoir, it later transforms into a technical rock crawling trail.
The main rock obstacles across Slick Rock are the Stair Steps, the new(er) Gauntlet and the new(er) Rock Pile.
Slick Rock is a great summer trail with plenty of opportunities to cool off in the water at each end of, and throughout, the trail.

Near by Camping
Dispersed and improved camping can be found through out Slick Rock Road. Near the south end are multiple improved camp sites near the reservoirs. At the north end is Lake Alpine and in the rock crawling section of the trail you can find dispersed camping near the Duck Creek Bridge ( among other areas ).
