Lake Alpine, California

Deer Valley OHV

Deer Valley, off the side of Highway 4, high in the Stanislaus and Eldorado National Forest, connects from the Hermit Valley campground on the south to the Lower Blue Lake Campground at the north.

Deer Valley is a mid to lightly challenging rock crawling trail with amazing scenery and an overlanders feel to it.

What starts as a seemingly endless rock trail through dense forest will eventually open up to an easier dirt trail through wide open meadows once you reach the Deer Creek and Blue Creek Crossings.
